Move into the future with capacitive touch on your membrane switches – an easier way of interacting with interfaces.
What is capacitive touch?
A capacitive switch has no mechanical components. It can detect the presence of your finger and the absence of your finger. They can also be designed for light touch, where your finger barely touches a feature on your overlay panel. General Label can incorporate both capacitive touch and traditional membrane switch technology into your membrane switch.
There are typically three components to a capacitive switch. The graphic overlay, the capacitive circuit and the rear adhesive layer. Our sealed capacitive touch circuits are resistant to contaminants such as dust, harsh chemicals, water and EMI.
The design possibilities are endless with a capacitive touch circuit. Add backlit features such as rotary wheels, sliders, track pads, keys or your logo. Backlighting features add a huge selling point to your product and your marketing department will be thrilled!
