A membrane switch is constructed with multiple layers of polycarbonate, polyester and adhesive materials. Membrane switches can be produced with either a tactile feel or a non-tactile feel.
A tactile membrane switch is created by adding either stainless steel or polyester domes. Domes are available in a variety of sizes and actuating forces. Proper handling of membrane switches with metal domes is extremely important, please see our <Dome Handling Guide> sheet.
Please see our <Membrane Overlay Design Guide> for more technical design information. |
